Welcome to the Third A3 Metamaterials Forum! The A3 metamaterials Forum (A3 META) is a serial symposium on Metamaterials, aiming at strengthening the interactions and cooperation among researchers working on this field in three Asian countries (Korea, Japan, and China). The A3 Meta was initiated by Jeong Weon Wu, Teruya Ishihar, and Lei Zhou in 2015 and its first symposium was successfully held in Sendai, Japan, in 2016 (http://www.opt.ip.titech.ac.jp/A3ForumMain.html) and the second symposium was successfully held in Shanghai, in China 2017 (http://a3meta.fudan.edu.cn/index.asp). The A3 Meta series can be viewed as a continuation of Korea-Japan Metamaterials Forum series established since 2011 (see http://www.qmmrc.net/webhard/korea-japan-forum/2015/main.htm for its history). According to the tradition of the forum, it will consist of invited talks delivered by top scientists in three countries selected by the steering committee and a poster session presented by young scholars. All presentations will be scheduled in a single session in order to keep intimate environment for discussions. The Third A3 Meta will be held at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Pohang, Korea from August 12 - 15, 2018. We hope that this forum can provide an ideal platform to create fruitful collaborations among the metamaterials researchers in these three countries.
